We have adapted the challenging GVT method to this epic, glute building plan. Weekly workouts are carefully structured so that you gradually increase the quantity of sets as you progress through the weeks. The extra stress on your muscle fibres will lead to continuous glutes growth throughout the 8 weeks, and the variety of accessory exercises will further sculpt the shape of each of the gluteals.
Originally developed in Germany in the 70s, German volume training (GVT) was taken up by national weightlifting coaches and used primarily to bulk athletes up.
It is sometimes called the ‘Ten Sets Method’ the workout consisting of 10 sets of 10 reps with minimal rest between sets. Used by Olympic weightlifters and pro bodybuilders, GVT is world renowned for promoting hypertrophy; this means increasing cell size of skeletal muscles.
